RUTGERS FILMMAKING BFA - NEW LENS FILM FESTIVAL 2025 SUBMISSION


New Lens Film Festival is an annual screening of work curated by a select jury of filmmaking faculty. It is open to Filmmaking BFA students and Rutgers University undergraduate students. The festival will be held at New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) on Tuesday, May 6th.
Submission Requirements:
1. Download, complete, and upload a NLFF Submission Form (FirstNameLastName.pdf): http://film.rutgers.edu/data/files/NLFF.pdf

2. Upload a film completed by you within the past two years and not previously submitted to New Lens Film Festival.

*Keep in mind that shorter films are more likely to be programmed due to time constraints.
* You may submit more than one film. Although this may increase your chances, only one film per filmmaker will be included in the festival.

Files should be labeled: FirstNameLastName_TitleofWork.mov
Size: 1920x1080px
Frame Rate: 23.98
Codec: h.264
File Type: QuickTime .mov (or .mp4)
Data Rate: 10-20 Mbps

Content Warning:
Please identify that your film merits a content warning for a public screening by adding “CW” at the end of your file name. For example:  FirstNameLastName_TitleofWork_CW.mov

Deadline:
By Monday, April 28th @ 12pm (noon).
* Submissions not meeting this deadline will not be considered by the NLFF jury.
